Since you have this app, you will never worry about no where to find out your android device, and it's so easy to use that just a whistle is OK! As the app can be used only on the home screen, you need to long press it after installation to place it on an empty space of the Home screen.
Then you just tap on the widget to start the whistle detector. After you make a whistle, the app will respond you with an audio notification signal. What's more, you can choose one of the two different audio responses in the settings.
Besides, no matter your screen is locked or open, the app can respond your whistle! And the face on the app can show you different kind of expressions, which looks very cute and funny! Here are the main features of the new Whistle Android Finder FREE 3.5:
- Whistle Android Finder FREE can be enabled or disabled under the settings tab. Simply run the application and the settings tab will appear! Remember: Whistle detection is working ONLY when the device is sleeping (i.e. when the screen is OFF).
- Once enabled, Whistle Android Finder FREE will truly work "forever" even if you reboot your Android device! Of course, you can disable it under the settings tab at any time.
- Whistle Android Finder FREE integrates the ability to release the microphone of your Android device during incoming or outgoing calls or when the screen of your device is ON! After a call ends, the normal background operation of whistle detection will resume automatically.
- It is possible to choose among 5 different whistle detection sensitivity levels! Whistle Android Finder FREE is just ready to adapt to any Android device regardless of the specifics of integrated acoustic components.
- Under the Whistle Android Finder FREE settings tab it is possible to choose among 17 different very amusing audio notification sounds to notify the presence of the detected whistle!
Whistle Android Finder FREE is based on sophisticated but computationally optimised Digital Signal Processing (DSP) techniques to analyse captured audio signals from the environment and search for distinct time-frequency patterns of a typical human whistle. The incorporated DSP algorithm is not signal energy based, therefore this whistle detector is much more accurate and reliable than similar applications found elsewhere on Google Play.

Fantastic app Oct 13, 2012
I am a forgetful person and often misplace my phone and take a while to find it before I head out the door. Usually I have to bother my housemate to ring my phone. With this app I no longer have to bother my housemate and can find it within a few seconds (even on silent)! The whistle detection sensitivity is fantastic and can pick up whistles from more than 10 meters away if settings are on very high. Only improvement would be to add an option to immediately turn off the music reply once phone is located.

This app has all the right intention. Please add button to turn off music after phone is found. Major glitch-sometimes it does not play music eventhough whistle is detected on my Samsung galaxy y.
