Description of MovieBrowser UPnP/DLNA
Stream videos from your PC, NAS or any other device running UPnP/DLNA compliant media server.

• Browse your local and network folders and setup your videos locations
• Movies are automatically identified (genre, plot, director, poster, rating)
• TV Shows are identified if the naming convention is valid (filename should contain season and episode number S##E## or ##x##)
• Associate with your favorite video player (you need one which support intents and http playback/network streaming, ie: MX Video Player, MoboPlayer, yxplayer, etc..)
• Long press on a video to share or update details
• Watch trailers from YouTube
• Sort your collection by genre, rating or genre
• Use the Play-To feature to stream videos to your TV
• Enjoy your collection and follow your TV Shows schedules with the unique set of widgets in this PRO version
What is the Play-To feature ?
Its AirPlay for android! This feature allows the control of a Digital Media Player (DMP) via the UPnP remote control protocol.
If you dont have a DMP you can configure Windows Media Player to allow remote control :

Need help ?
• On Google TV UPnP does not work when the box is connected via network cable. Please use a Wifi connection or access your library via Samba.
• Mezzmo and Serviio servers are not recognized as UPnP servers but you can play network files with the Samba browser.
• Complains and questions via the market does not help as I have no way to answer you this way!
• If you need support, please use the contact button within the app and send me your log file (READ_LOGS permission) together with a brief description of your problem.

Amazing! Jul 24, 2012
I have Boxee at home which gives me a nice interface for all the movies and episodes on my NAS. I wanted something similar on my Nexus 7. This program is almost as good as boxee, and is definitely worth getting. Some minor sorting things can be improved but this is already a well put together program.

Tried pretty much everything. ROOTED, CIFS, Mounters and different videoplayers to list local, microsd and nas content for my kids in a nice package. This is as close to a mediacenter video system you can get. I'm impressed. I'll take ten please. Many thanks to the dev. Asus transformer tf300tg

Works right out of the box and I love all the options it gives you for selecting content from different sources. I can't quite get the dlna streaming to my tv working quite yet, but overall I absolutely love this app. Best video gallery organizer I've tried... And believe me I've bought and tried a lot of them.

Installed and hooked up no problem to my XBMC. Played no problem with MX Player. Emailed developer through the app and got back to me right away.

Nice, but Nov 25, 2012
Needs an option to disable mete-data, it recans the library everytime I start the app. When I start the app without an internetconnection I loose all metadata. Please fix this.

Great app so far Sep 2, 2012
After trying a number of free streaming apps to work with my media computer this paid one seems be the best so far. Will fetch data from online and present the TV show episodes that you have and what is missing . Gives overview of films etc. Every thing is presented in nice way. Great purchase so far. Keep up the great work. Look forward to updates.

Amazing, but... Sep 17, 2012
It needs a way to deactivate the metadata. Some people are not interested in it and it takes ages for the app to stop searching for metadata. I want to start browsing my library, not being shown an "identifying movies" message forever. It also needs a plain list to see the titles of the movies. I don't care about big icons resembling posters. Fine if you want them, but there should be a way to turn that off.

Needs to display "watched" for TV and Movies Nov 5, 2012
*I Like: I really like how it shows you which episodes are scheduled/upcoming (but not out yet), and shows them in the list (but greyed out). I also love how it shows you the next air date - this saves me having to go and individually check episodes on IMDB. - *Things I would love to see added in this app: 1). Mark as WATCHED !!!! Once it has been played - auto mark it as watched. Even a manual "watched" option in the mean time would be a big help (press menu while on selected episode & choose "mark as watched") 1b). Hide watched Episodes/Seasons/Movies 1c). For multi-viewer households; option to add users (e.g. Jack & Jill), so that if they both enjoy the same TV series, & Jack watches an episode without Jill, Jack could flag that episode as unwatched for Jill (after he watches it), so Jill knows she needs to catch up on it later (then watched for her after its played a 2nd time). 2. Resume from the last play time/duration 3. I often have to wait for it to scan & reload my whole movies list, b4 I can choose my TV series list, & then wait 2 rescan & reload each show - before I can update a single new episode. A differential scan, running in a background status bar?

Needs 2 things. Dec 6, 2012
Thanks for a great app but please can you see if my two requests are possible. I know other reviews have highlighted these areas of development too. 1. It would be nice if you could develop a remote app for an android phone. 2. Playback stutters when using a Samba share. Same file works fine over upnp. Hopefully you can fix the samba issue as this is a bit of a problem for me.

Works excellent when streaming from my PC (using serviio on the PC) to my Nexus7, or from USB sticks plugged into my cable/wifi gateway. The gateway has a built in DLNA server to handle media via the USB ports. Very happy with it and will invest in the pro version unless I find something better. Have streamed movies and family pics and no troubles whatsoever.

This app bridges the gap between Apple TV 2 and your droid or other media players for that matter...I can easily view my pics and vids from my phone to the big screen...I love watching viral videos to waste time....it has break / videobash but I wish the dev could add more channels with funny videos. Or better yet users could add their own custom channels/content.
