Best Simple Car App May 23, 2012
Simple and very customizable, but not a lot of features like other apps, but that's why I like it. However, I wish Google would make this compatible with all phones. I have to side-load it, but this app and Google Music and Navigation are the three most used apps on my phone.

To the people saying it won't work: this is a carrier restriction. You can find apks to side load this. Also install the launcher if you have no dock. Great app if you can install it!

Really is nice when you don't know directions to your destination. Especially in states your not familiar with. Very accurate in finding the address.

It does work on ICS Jun 19, 2012
Google, I have no idea why you think carhome does not work on ICS. Well It does on my galaxy nexus. I am not going to say how I got it on there. Honestly I think car home is vital on any android phone. I just hope google is working on a newer version for ics. Trust me every other car home replacement just cannot compete.

Will open on Gingerbread and works great I have a HTC Desire with Gingerbread (Oxygen 2.0 ROM installed) and Car Home does install fine but you may need to use an app like Astro to create a home screen shortcut (Long press on home screen, then Add shortcut - Activities - Car Home - com.google.android.carhome.CarHome will do the trick)

Car Dock Home v3 running on my HTC Vivid ICS smartphone doesn't start any of the "Car Mode System Settings". I'd like it to turn on GPS and Bluetooth when it starts up, but if it doesn't, I don't mind. Car Dock Home v3 is a nice improvement on the HTC included Car Panel and the inclusion of widgets (Power Control) means I can start the radios manually.

Its kind of tough to figure out the right way to customize it, but keep trying and you'll understand it. Other then that, works like a dream for a free app. Looks nice as a 4x4 widget on my S3 as well. Dont pay when this free one does the job so well

Great app with good level of configuration. Have it set to auto enable when it detects the car's Bluetooth. Bargain for the price.
