Great update Nov 12, 2012
Was tempermental on my S3 at first, but with the recent updates, it works great. POI showed up in various locations, and great with the Yelp API for finding restaurants and such. Tried it with the Atlantic and it worked well. Also downloaded their demo pdf to see other experiences and they were all pretty cool. More intense games took a bit longer to load, but that made sense with the amount of content that had to be loaded.

A tutorial displays with the new update. Oct 31, 2012
I was able to get this app to work with The Atlantic magazine. I sincerely feel that *some* of the negative reviews came from users not understanding how to use it. After all, it's a given in Computing, that just to point such a program at any picture out of any magazine wouldn't work. I also had an initial trial-and-error phase with it, using a magazine it was specifically meant to work with. In this AR-enabled magazine, there is one page which briefly describes what to do, and which loads the correct "channel" for that mag. I'm very happy that the software company has included a good tutorial with the latest update, and hope that will help everybody. Also, I'm hopeful that in upcoming updates, the H/W force-close issues with some others' devices will also get resolved, because I think you guys are missing out. I also think that the default 'Points Of Interest' channel is good, and plan to try some of the others eventually, which the app is even suggesting automatically.

HTC One X ICJ Jan 7, 2013
I love this application. Does what it says. I do have one problem however. After a 2 minutes or so use it causes my phone to soft reboot? I'm on ICJ 3.5.1 on HOX. Help with this would be nice as it ruins the experience. But nice application.

Yes,You can uninstall this application.Go to SETTINGS,then APPLICATIONS,then MANAGE APPLICATIONS,then PRESS ALL.scroll down until you find LAYER,press on it.now you will see from the bottom-CLEAR CACHE,PRESS THIS.NOW GO UP AND CLEAR ALL DATA FROM DEVICE,PRESS THIS and finally PRESS UNINSTALL-WATCH THE GREEN STRIPPY BAR UNTIL IT STOPS and says OK,PRESS OK. Now all should be well.Tip! When using layer put on your gps,i find this helps it work much better.Have a lucky day.Bye.

I don't have data plans in most countries so storing maps, poi, and routes offline on Locus is essential. Purchasing vector maps (very cheap) from the Locus store have saved me tons of time compared to creating them on my own. Support was quick to respond and suggest solutions to a recent issue I had. Frequent updates and feature additions make this app exciting to own!
