Description of Superuser
Grant and manage Superuser rights for your phone.
This app requires that you already have root, or a custom recovery image to work.
Note: App and binary will have different versions. The app is updated more often than the binary is.
This app cannot be uninstalled if it was installed with your ROM or root. If there is no uninstall option, it's because you placed it in /system/app, not me. It is impossible for an app to be installed in /system/app by the Play store. In fact, the entire /system partition is read only at runtime. The only way for an app to be placed in /system/app is via a rooting process (which usually installs Superuser), or by remounting the system partition as read/write and manually putting it there.
Permissions requested are for:
Internet - updating the binary
External storage - backup/restore for elite users
NFC - creating an allow tag for elite users
Boot completed - fix database on boot
Support request emails that simply say "Doesn't work" or something to that effect are automatically deleted by our stupidity filter and will not be answered.

Great, This Version Anyway Nov 25, 2012
Recently, I moved from an app drawer SU 3.1.3 to the system app SU 3.2 from the dedicated website. I guess when the change was made to flat files, or maybe the fix on requesting permission, the app went haywire for me. I still had root access, but it would consistantly ask me for access right, even with remember checked. Also, I believe it caused my WiFi tether to act up, which isnt good seeing as my only internet is my phone. In process of rolling back. Stock ICS EVO3D CDMA Unlocked BL S-On, hboot 1.58

Well, I'm guessing most people end up with this app after a root. I never actually installed it as such, but I am very happy with what it dose, providing a kind of firewall between your apps and your phones privates. I only run a few apps that require root access and superuser dutifully asks me if they are allowed access. Love the logo too, can I get a t-shirt?

Binary update Jul 26, 2012
Previously when I tried to update the binary it fails and my phone gets rebooted automatically. After updating my busybox pro to the latest version the update goes very smoothly. So those who encounter binary update problem please update your busybox to the latest version and then update the binary. That will solve the problem. Until now I ha ve never faced any problem. After update, all data of the previous version except the su binary is saved. So applications won't ask for root access. Thanks.

Root acces deny Sep 6, 2012
hey i have the latest version of SU and i am on a rooted HTC desire but all my programs such "Proxy Droid" which needs root access persmission to run, SU tells me that access denied to root :( even if i try to update SU's Binary it tells me fails access to root. can't uninstall SU cz it was installed with the rom itself "Sandvold's ICS BETA 0.18" so i downloaded the lastest offline binary and SU update and installed them in my recovery and all worked smoothly :D

What is the binary? What does it mean? Sep 30, 2012
All I know about this app is that a rooted phone needs it in order to grant root permissions to apps and what not. Besides that I don't know how to use it or what are other benefits of having it..would be nice to k ow thought so any insight would be great!

I sent an email just now on my problem but other wise i love it. My issue was outdated su binary I got the files but all root applications froze so now i hope i get a reaspond soon.

First of all, kudos to the developer for combining so many apps into one program. The developer is fast to respond to email inquiries. I primarily purchased this app for nandroid backups. Unfortunately, to use this feature I would need to purchase another Program 'ROM Manager Premium' that costs $6. Please note this limitation is imposed by ROM manager developer and is not this developers fault. None of the other freely available recovery are for my phone.
