Description of Genius Scan
Genius Scan turns your Android device into a pocket scanner. It enables you to quickly scan documents on the go and email the scans as JPEG or PDF.
In addition to email, Genius Scan provides easy upload to Box, Dropbox, Evernote or any other cloud service app installed on your Android phone.
The Genius Scan scanner technology includes smart page detection, perspective correction, image post-processing. It allows you to build PDF documents with multiple scans.

Simply amazing! This app is so simple yet so effective. It came to the rescure when I had documents that needed to be sent immediately. My scanner was down, but within minutes I was able to send what I needed in PDF format with Genius Scan. Highly reccomend!!

No password protection documents Oct 27, 2012
Love the app. Use it for all my id cards/drivers licence etc. The app needs pasword protection or protection for the documents. Otherwise. Love it. Quality enhancer works great. Well worth the money if security was fixed.

Good for receipts, not so good for A4 Oct 31, 2012
I use this regularly for scanning receipts and while it's good, the scans it creates even in black and white mode are massive, a few hundred kilobytes for a food receipt while my desktop software takes 47 kilobytes for a full A4 page. This can make emailing expenses problematic. Please implement proper monochrome PDF support.

Not bad but a bit lacking Jan 13, 2013
For the price a decent scanner app. Not as feature-rich as eg camscanner but for scanning one or two pages on the go it's sufficient. Scanning more than three pages to the same document is cumbersome since you have to add the pages to the document after you've scanned them which is plain annoying. You also always have to go through the camera even if you want to add a picture from the gallery. Needs some work on the enhancers as well. The results are quite readable but quite ugly, even from good shots.

My first use, this evening, was to scan some test documents, which was easy, with good scans. Next I wanted to add them to Evernote. After trying various things, I followed some instructions in the FAQ on the website. They did not work, seemed incomplete. I noted that several others have asked similar questions. There is enough complexity in this app that it deserves several pages of detailed instructions in the app. Surely if the same questions keep popping up, they should have thought of this. I still expect that once I have learned how to use it, it will be a useful app, so I have not asked for my money back, yet.

It's pretty useful, but I can't help but wonder Why on earth a new app would not use the most recent Android design? Why not develop using Holo guidelines? Why must this app look like a weird mashup of (I'm assuming) iOS and Gingerbread when we've now had two Jelly Bean releases? This app feels outdated and it would be nice to see that fixed.

I can scan photos into it and make awesome Pdf's. Very useful for receipts and small pictures. Not so good for books, where even on high enhance and under various lighting conditions it isn't at all readable! Hence,four stars.
