City of Secrets Xperia Edition plays out like the classic point and click adventure games from the past. The main character is Rex, the dog, and Mr. Moles, who have been taking on adventures for some time. You’ll interact with various environments, finding somewhat hidden objects, using and combining items to solve puzzles and move ahead to the next area.
Getting through these types of challenges is time-consuming, but the game does come with a “hint” system and it makes the pass through easier. Also the hi-res graphics are brightly colored and impressively detailed, often with multiple layers of background detail and constant unique visual embellishments. The character animation is also exceptional, and the game makes consistently excellent use of shadows and lighting effects. The soundtrack stands out as strength, as each location has a unique musical theme.
If you’re a fan of point and click adventure games, you should take some time to check out City of Secrets. Excellent visuals and voice work, and a wonderfully fun story to play through make City of Secrets well worth your time.

Decent music, pretty pictures. Puzzles were okay, but the story was shallow, and nothing really tied them sensibly together. In Myst, the puzzles had reason to be there, and story behind them.
